Ubisoft heeft Title Update 1.3.0 voor Star Wars Outlaws uitgebracht, met een aantal belangrijke wijzigingen in de game.
Deze patch is beschikbaar voor alle platforms en richt zich vooral op het verbeteren van de vaak bekritiseerde stealth-mechaniek, om spelers meer flexibiliteit te bieden bij het aanpakken van situaties. Daarnaast is de vijandelijke AI aangepast en zijn er verbeteringen doorgevoerd voor speeders. Ubisoft heeft ook aangegeven dat het op de hoogte is van een aanhoudend probleem dat PC-spelers ondervinden na de 24H2 Windows Update en werkt aan een oplossing.
Verder heeft Ubisoft een speciale Bug Reporter-tool gemaakt waar spelers problemen kunnen melden en de status kunnen volgen, om zo de transparantie en communicatie te verbeteren. Sinds de release in augustus heeft Star Wars Outlaws het moeilijk gehad, waarbij Ubisoft toegaf dat de verkoop niet aan de verwachtingen voldeed. Ontwikkelaar Ubisoft Massive heeft echter beloofd de game te verbeteren, met meer patches in de aanloop naar het cruciale kerstverkoopseizoen.
Update 4 staat gepland voor 21 november en zal verdere verbeteringen aan combat en stealth bevatten, evenals gratis extra contracten. De aankomende verhaal-DLC, Wild Card, laat Kay en Nix infiltreren in een high-stakes Sabacc-toernooi, waar ze het opnemen tegen de legendarische Lando Calrissian. Deze update komt te midden van een ingrijpende reorganisatie bij Ubisoft, na de daling van de aandelenkoers en de slechte verkoop van Outlaws.
Ubisoft keert terug naar Steam (waar Outlaws op 21 november verschijnt) na jaren van exclusiviteit op de Epic Games Store voor PC, heeft Assassin’s Creed Shadows uitgesteld naar volgend jaar, en overweegt naar verluidt een partnerschap met Tencent om het bedrijf privaat te maken.
